My goal has always been to build the best possible racing transmissions and to provide all the best possible parts available for superior track tested performance & reliability.
In the early 90's when the "street car shoot out" & heavy weight door cars were quickly becoming the hottest type of racing around, the need for superior automatics was now an issue. This was the starting point for us to achieve our goal. Throughout the mid to late 90's things progressed to a point where durability was the next task at hand. This led us to the constant testing with research & development of new products to achieve our goal, thus providing you with the latest technology & best possible parts available. In early 2000 through the present we have rededicated ourselves to even more R&D to ensure top quality with extreme durability to all of our products so that nothing is overlooked. This is our commitment to you.
We are also a leader in 3-speed transmission research and development with a never-ending pursuit to always improve on our championship winning combinations. With the introduction of the spragless option on our turbo 400 in 2002 we now have the capability to provide a 'bulletproof' transmission with options of gear ratios & even a clean neutral. This allows us to tailor a combination for your specific needs.
Our Powerglide transmissions are available with just as many options to accommodate every need from Twin turbo, single turbo & big H.P. nitrous combos to racing in heads up pro tree or full tree bracket race combos.
Proformance Racing Transmissions is an authorized dealer for Griner transbrakes. The fastest release trans-brakes on the market as well as Neal Chance Racing Converters the leader in torque converter technology.
Aside from transmissions I have & still dedicate a lot of time to Top Fuel Racing both on & off the pavement. This includes crewing on the Roger Way/Danny Dunn IHRA Top Fuel Dragster & also on the Scotty Lumbert/Ray Lumbert IHBA Top Fuel Hydro. Both of these experiences have given us the ability to provide you with more knowledge & understanding to help bring you the most optimum combination possible.
